zitozza is an interiors brand creating hyper-customisable block-printed textiles, rugs and homewares, designed and made in scotland by hungarian-born designer zita katona. after a decade-long international career zig-zagging across graphic and textile design, zita developed a modular printing system using uniform, handcrafted blocks — allowing for an infinite variety of bold, tactile patterns on sustainable fabrics.

fusing slow, arts & craft block printing methods and with distinctly european modernist principles, zitozza blends hungarian heritage with a scottish sensibility. zitozza’s aesthetic is abstract, architectural, and warm — drawing beauty from the overlooked and the utilitarian. we find inspiration in brutalist buildings, industrial materials, and everyday urban forms, transforming them into soft, homely textiles full of character and precision.

each piece is printed by hand, block by block, using a standardised, machine-cut tileset of wood blocks. this modular system creates distinctive, combinable patterns with playful geometry and full customisability — no two designs are quite the same. we print on environmentally conscious materials such as jute, recycled linen and recycled cotton, chosen for their texture, honesty, and compatibility with our design values.
