About

zitozza homewares are made in scotland by hungarian-born textile designer zita katona - founded after a decade-long international career and three degrees zig-zagging between graphic and textile design.

zitozza's mission is to create cosy and beautiful interior decor out of the everyday and the unloved. we find joy in discovering beauty in the mundane, utilitarian, and often overlooked environments that surround us. our passion lies in the intellectual challenge of transforming brutalist architecture, industrial structures and urban landscapes into homely, tactile textiles and decor.

we mainly do this by deconstructing our architectural inspirations into their basic forms, and rebuilding them block by block with hand crafted charm, bold colours and a simple, abstract aesthetic. every product and surface is hand printed with wood blocks that are largely the same size, thus creating an interchangeable pattern system of infinite combinations and fully customisable, unique, vibrant designs with a tactile quality of our earth-friendly textiles.

our choices for fabrics always come with a priority for the environment as we love using fabrics from the super-sustainable jute (with that added utilitarian quality to match our philosophies) and recycled linens and cottons for the luxurious touch.

zitozza believes in embracing the present - both with the environmental responsibility and as a celebration of the everyday environments that surround us.
