modern collection

like many in our MODERN collection, the CO-OP printing block set is also inspired by building blocks and elements of brutalist architecture - however this is less sharp than others, using rounded squares and simple, rounded edges and corners for a more gentle, playful effect. the real-life inspiration comes from a coffered concrete ceiling of the CO-OP shopping centre building in glenrothes, scotland, built in the 1960s.

due to the connecting shapes it is a perfect tileset to create grid-like, connecting patterns and it also contains many smaller blocks to fill gaps randomly, making it perfect for randomised arrangements as well as the more rigid, regular pattern designs. either arrengement can work with our bright neon colour ranges for a truly playful, fun surface pattern. for our 2021 collection launch, it grew with additional tiles to continue the range of possible patterns!
