LUGAS (the hungarian word for a leafy courtyard) is a sophisticated exploration of the natural world through a structural lens. this extensive tileset blends botanical, organic elements with decorative ornaments inspired by traditional ceramic tiles and folk embroidery.
the hallmark of the LUGAS system is its "pixelated" organicism. by rendering floral and leafy motifs with a sharp, geometric edge, the design pays homage to the technical constraints of historical weaving and cross-stitch. this unique aesthetic allows LUGAS to move seamlessly between a romantic, country-style interior and a more rigorous, contemporary space.

something for the maximalists! this fabulous, heritage-inspired rug is hand block printed with a single, geometric motif of the LUGAS tileset in turquoise blue and white colourway on the golden natural jute. with that slight mediterranean feel, this is a perfect addition to the interior decor of a summer house or kitchen floor in a print design that suits a little bit more of the more traditional aesthetics as well (but still contemporary and sustainable!)

our PIROS runner rug is made up of HERITAGE tilesets - the botanical, lush prints of LUGAS and PÁLMAHÁZ both feature here strongly, in warm reds and greens.
this is quite a narrow runner with tassels, 110 x 49 cm including the approx 7 cm long tassels on the short edges.
we are serious about recycling and we use every single scrap material we can find - please be aware this is entirely handmade of small pieces.

the lampshade is a straight cylinder with a 20 cm diameter and 22 cm depth. it comes with a small plastic ring you can remove to fit UK or EU standard fittings.
