RAKÉTA (Hungarian for rocket) is a tribute to the era of mid-century optimism, inspired by the aerodynamic forms of aerospace technology and the monolithic presence of modernist sculpture. while rooted in the sharp, structural logic of our MODERN collection, RAKÉTA captures the kinetic energy of the space age reimagined as a modular printing system.
this is one of our most expansive tilesets, featuring a deep library of complementary motifs that can be configured into intricate, interlocking "chess" patterns or stripped back into minimalist, geometric silhouettes. its versatility allows for a broad expressive range: from high-energy, vibrant compositions that radiate "space-age" joy to understated, tonal prints that complement a more reserved, contemporary interior. these tiles are the building pillars of our mid-century modern inspired BÉTON collection.

a cheerful, modernist favourite - this medium-sized lampshade is printed with our brand new 2021 collection, the space-age inspired RAKÉTA tileset in shades of blues and a touch bright yellow. the pattern is a random arrangement of the star-shaped, aerodynamic elements, reminiscent of brutalist murals and it’s fixed on a hexagonal frame for an added modern geometric effect. the cool hues compliment the golden natural jute perfectly and it’s absolutely fabulous when lit up!
the lampshade diameter is 30 cm and is 22 cm deep. it comes with an inner plastic ring you can remove to fit onto your preferred lamp.
