this is a piece of abstract embroidery, part of a series exploring brutalist architecture further in unique designs. this is a dynamic, vibrant piece deconstructing a piece of modern architecture to basic rectangles and squares, allowing you to see the minimalist, pure structure, hence the title of the work. stitched in a yellow / green colourway with contrasting purple linen yarns on the natural hessian cloth. the texture of the embroidery and the varying heights help create a dynamic layout to the piece.

this piece is 20 x 30 cm and comes in a 30 x 40 cm thin black, plastic frame with a white mount inside and a hanging piece for wall nails or hooks.

this artwork is part of the jutefest exhibition in dundee. deliveries will be completed in september 2021.
