this is a piece of abstract embroidery, part of a series exploring brutalist architecture further in unique designs. it’s definitely the boldest, most “blocky” one, embroidered with a chunky neon red cotton yarn with other, bright colours. it’s a reduction of modernist architecture to its most basic forms - ELEMEK means just elements - the basic building blocks.

this piece is 20 x 30 cm and comes in a 30 x 40 cm thin black, plastic frame with a white mount inside and a hanging piece for wall nails or hooks.

this artwork is part of the jutefest exhibition in dundee. deliveries will be completed in september 2021.
