this is a piece of abstract embroidery, part of a series exploring brutalist architecture further in unique designs. EMELET is a word for storey in hungarian. this bright blue and orange piece represents the silhouette of brutalist buildings, a section of storeys stacked on top of each-other - and the three dimensional forms of the angles of balconies and windows. there are linen and cotton yarns used and some were dyed to a specific colour to fit into this scheme. all stitched on natural hessian.

this piece is 20 x 30 cm and comes in a 30 x 40 cm thin black, plastic frame with a white mount inside and a hanging piece for wall nails or hooks.

this artwork is part of the jutefest exhibition in dundee. deliveries will be completed in september 2021.
